The generous Yanmar, 118 kW, 160 HP engine with a three bladed folding propeller makes sure she moves silently and easily whenever the going gets tough or when the wind fades. The standard retractable bowthruster makes manoeuvring in the marina very easy. Her onboard electric modern state of the art system also uses a BUSsystem offering easy system control for example central light switching and reduction of the weight and length of electric cable wiring. HanseYachts AG, having recently purchased the Moody “Trademark“, is moving forward to capitalize on the 150 years of Moody boat building tradition.

Bill Dixon, with more that 20 years of Moody design experience and in collaboration with the superb Hanse design team, has initiated a preliminary design for a new Moody 45 DSe Deck Salon world cruiser.

The new Moody 45 DSe is built, taking into consideration the passion of over 1,200 Moody owners that the Dixon design has pleased and gratified, as a comfortable cruising yacht that is seaworthy and easy to handle.

The Moody 27 is designed with a fast hull and a good ballast ratio to make her both stiff and seaworthy whilst a substantial diesel engine gives a good turn of speed under power. The accommodation consists of 5/6 berths in two separate cabins with good headroom throughout (including the large toilet compartment). The spaciously attractive saloon area, with seating/eating arrangements for up to six, has plenty of stowage space and a well-equipped galley that features a full sized cooker, stainless steel sink and again plenty of stowage. In addition, there are hanging lockers for both wet and dry clothing.

The Moody 28 was created along the same design concepts as her extremely successful sister craft - speed, sailing performance, comfort, strength and stability and stylish appearance. She comfortably sleeps six in three separate cabins. There is a private after cabin on the starboard side. Yachting World, 1985, concluded: 'This 28 footer is one of the nicest we have tested. Modern good looks are complemented by the most comfortable interior.

The accommodation of the Moody 29 is comprised of 6/7 berths in two cabins. The table in the saloon folds right away to provide a spacial living area; this also enables the starboard settee berth to convert from a single to a double.

The Moody 30 has two cabins, six berths, aft cockpit, sloop rig, diesel inboard engine, separate toilet compartment. Saloon: 'L' shaped settee/double berth, single berth opposite. ¼ berth with pull-out section to convert to seat when using chart table, lockers behind berths, dinette table, sliding chart table.

Wheel steering was available as an optional extra on the Moody 31 Mk I. Forecabin: 2 single berths. Saloon: 2 bench settee berths. Chart area to port with chart table and stowage. navigator's stool. Galley to starboard. Aft cabin is immediately aft of the galley. Two single berths are fitted in 'V' formation and a double berth conversion. Toilet compartment is to port immediately aft of the navigation area. Marine WC. Oilskin locker.

The two main differences between the Mark I and Moody 31 Mark II are the Mark II has a Sugar scoop transom and a forward facing chart table. Wheel steering was available as an optional extra. Forecabin: 2 single berths. Saloon: 2 bench settee berths. Chart area to port with forward facing chart table and stowage. navigator's stool. Galley to starboard. Aft cabin is immediately aft of the galley. Two single berths are fitted in 'V' formation and a double berth conversion. Toilet compartment is to port immediately aft of the navigation area. A particularly attractive feature of the Moody S31 is the huge aft cabin, stretching right across the full width of the boat. Even with its full size double berth there's still plenty of space, and the cabin also has its own hatchway to the cockpit. The forecabin sleeps two, and the saloon settees provide two more berths if needed. And for climbing aboard or swimming, the whole centre section of the transom folds down and forms steps leading to the water.

The concept and design of Moody 33 centre cockpit fin keel model was completed by Angus Primrose in 1972 and tooling was completed in November of that year. This was first production yacht developed jointly between A.H. Moody & Son Ltd, Southampton and Marine Projects (Plymouth) Limited. It was an immediate success and models have appeared ever since. Power and Sail magazine, October 1974: 'Planned as a comfortable family cruising yacht of light displacement and with a high performance under sail or power, the Moody 33 shows many of the characteristics to be found in the more trendy production yachts of today. Clean, smooth, sleek and with high freeboard, a carefully calculated layout below decks, a roomy central cockpit with two-berth cabin aft, a simple masthead sloop rig, and the fin keel and skeg rudder profile expected of fast yachts, the Moody 33 has all these and a good deal more besides'.

The main difference from original Moody 33 is a different layout in the saloon and the cockpit was not quite as wide thus giving larger side decks aboard the Moody 33 Mk II. The entrance to the aft cabin was not in the middle but slightly off set.Forecabin: 2 berths convertible to double, toilet compartment to starboard. Pilot berth to port between fore cabin and galley. Saloon: Single berths to port and starboard, galley to port with static navigation. Aft cabin: (access from cockpit) 2 berths, dressing table, wardrobe.

Based on the original Moody 33 hull but the Moody 33S has an aft cockpit version. There is generous, well-planned accommodation for six in three well appointed cabins, two berths in fore cabin. Settee berths on saloon. fully equipped galley, a separate toilet with provision for a shower Starboard cabin: double quarter berth. Good sized aft cockpit. Wheel steering.

The Moody 333 is the fourth model based on the original Moody 33 hull. Centre Cockpit with access to the aft cabin through passage from saloon. 6 berths, 3 cabins, sloop rig, diesel inboard engine, separate toilet compartment. Fore cabin: 2 berths, convertible to double as an option. Toilet: Marine WC, pressurised hot and cold water system. Saloon: Settee berths/seats, port and starboard. Chart table. Aft cabin: double berth, dressing table

The Moody Eclipse 33 has a forward cabin with twin single berths, which convert to a double berth. Stowage space. Hanging locker. En suite access to the shower cubicle and toilet compartment which is sited to port, shower is fitted in a cubicle area with shower seat and divider. The galley is sited to starboard, twin sinks, hot and cold water, gas cooker, front opening refrigerator is situated adjacent to the galley. U shaped settee area is to port which converts to a double berth in conjunction with the large folding leaf dining table. The settee area is raised to give all round vision through the saloon windows. To starboard is the interior helm station. Steel steering wheel engine, gear controls and instrumentation. Outboard of the helmsman's seat is the chart table. Aft cabin; to starboard the cabin has a large fore and aft double berth, washbasin. Eclipse 33 Series II - has an Autohelm 4000 with dual station (outside and inside) controls. The great advantage of the inside pilot steering arrangement is the amount of space it releases in the saloon. With the helm console no longer needed, the saloon opens out to incorporate the galley section immediately forward.

The forecabin of the Moody 336 has two single berths, which are convertible to a double. Locker space is provided round the ships sides above the berths. To the port side is a hanging locker and a vanity unit opposite to starboard. Saloon; U shaped settee to port with a single settee to starboard. The centrally mounted saloon table folds out to the complete width of the saloon. The navigation area is situated aft of the saloon to starboard; chart table. The toilet compartment is aft of the navigation area; marina toilet, hot and cold pressurised water, wash basin, shower. The galley situated aft of the saloon on the port side; pressurised hot and cold water, twin sinks, gas cooker, top opening refrigerated ice box. Aft cabin, this extremely large cabin occupies the after end of the boat. Access is from a door aft of the galley. L shaped settee, vanity desk, large double berth.

The forecabin of the Moody 34 has a comfortable, roomy cabin with two single berths which are convertible to a double. To the starboard side is a hanging locker with a small vanity unit. The saloon has a U shaped settee to starboard with a single settee berth opposite. The centrally mounted table folds out to the complete width of the saloon. The navigation area is aft of the Saloon on the portside; chart table. The toilet compartment with marine toilet & shower is aft of the navigation area on the port side immediately adjacent to the companionway steps. The galley, which is immediately opposite the toilet compartment, is L shaped; hot and cold pressurised water system, stainless steel sink, cooker, and top opening icebox. The aft cabin is reached through a passageway from the saloon and galley. In this passageway are two hanging lockers: one for wet gear. Within the aft cabin there is a double berth, a settee, a dressing table and hanging locker.

The Moody 346 is an evolution of the Moody 34 design, identical except for the addition of a bathing/boarding platform. Twin opening transom ports. Forecabin; a comfortable, roomy cabin with two single berths which are convertible to a double. To the starboard side is a hanging locker with a small vanity unit. The saloon has a U shaped settee to starboard with a single settee berth opposite. The centrally mounted table folds out to the complete width of the saloon. The navigation area is aft of the Saloon on the portside; chart table. The toilet compartment is aft of the navigation area on the port side immediately adjacent to the companionway steps; marine toilet, shower. The galley, which is immediately opposite the toilet compartment, is L shaped; hot and cold pressurised water system, twin stainless steel sinks, cooker, top opening icebox. The aft cabin is reached through a passage-way from the saloon and galley. In this passage-way are two hanging lockers: one for wet gear. Aft cabin; double berth, settee and hanging locker and vanity unit incorporating an inset sink complete with pressurised hot and cold water. Opening deck hatch and twin opening ports in the transom.

The fore cabin of the Moody 35 has 2 single berths which are convertible to a double, hanging locker, aft of the berth with a vanity unit opposite. Saloon; the light airy saloon has an L shaped settee to starboard and a single settee opposite to port, a large folding leaf dining table is centrally mounted. Below the settees are rigid water tanks. Storage space is provided outboard of settee backs and in locker and shelving units above. Opening deck hatch and ventilators. The navigation area is situated aft of the saloon on the port side; chart table. Aft of the chart table is the oilskin hanging locker. The toilet compartment is aft of the navigation area on the port side. This compartment is fully fitted out with a marine toilet, hot and cold pressurised water, wash basin and separate shower area. En-suite access is also provided to the aft cabin. The galley is situated aft of the saloon on the starboard side, pressurised hot and cold water to twin sinks, a top opening refrigerated ice box. Access to the Aft cabin: double berth, settee. Opening ports.

The Moody 36 is a centre cockpit design, with 2 berths convertible to a double. Marine wc, basin with pressurised hot and cold water. Saloon; L shaped settee/berth with second settee/berth opposite; table, shelves and lockers. Galley; cooker, stainless steel sink, hot and cold water system. Walkthrough passageway to port; single quarter berth. Aft cabin; double berth athwartships, dressing table, wardrobe and stowage lockers. Separate toilet compartment, wc, and basin.

Based on the Moody 36 hull the Moody 36 DS is a Deck Saloon model. Aft cockpit. Fo'c'sle; 2 berths convertible to a double. Toilet compartment to starboard; marine wc, basin and pressurised hot and cold water system. Saloon; L shaped settee/berth with second settee/berth opposite, table shelves and lockers. Internal helm position to port. Galley; cooker, stainless steel double sink with pressurised hot and cold water system. Chart table to starboard. Aft cabin under cockpit. Double berth, En-suite heads.

Another hull based on the Moody 36 the Moody 36S has an aft cockpit, sloop rig. Fo'c'sle; 2 berths convertible to a double as an option. Toilet; marine wc, basin and pressurised hot and cold water system. Saloon; L shaped settee/berth with second settee/berth opposite, table shelves and lockers. The Moody 36 had a three cabin layout with a twin berth cabin forwards, a single cabin and a fine owner's stateroom aft. Forward cabin; 2 single 'V' berths with infill to convert to double. Saloon; U shaped settee to port with second settee opposite to starboard, dining table. Galley; twin stainless steel sinks, hot and cold pressurised water with mixer tap, large refrigerated ice box, cooker. navigation area; forward facing navigation desk, wet hanging space aft of chart table seat. Shower/toilet compartment; Access from saloon plus en suite access from aft cabin. Wash-basin, marine toilet with commode lid to form shower seat pressurised water. Starboard passage cabin; passage berth with stowage under and ship's side locker unit above. Aft cabin; large central double berth, hanging locker plus stowage lockers to port and starboard, en suite access to toilet compartment.

The Moody 37 is intended as a comfortable, fast and stable cruising yacht. Forecabin; 2 single berths, conversion into a double berth. Fore toilet compartment is to starboard, aft of the forecabin, WC, washbasin, shower, hot and cold pressurised water. Saloon; L shaped settee is fitted to starboard with a single settee berth opposite. The table is fitted centrally around the mast support pillar and opens out to the full width of the saloon. Galley; U shaped galley is to port, aft of the saloon and immediately adjacent to the companionway, refrigerated ice box, gas stove. The navigation area is to starboard opposite the galley, chart table. The aft cabin passageway is to starboard and is fitted with a navigators berth which also forms the seat for the chart table. After cabin; fore and aft double berth to port and an L shaped settee to starboard. A large hanging locker to starboard. To port is a completely self contained toilet compartment with a marine WC and basin with hot and cold pressurised water system.

The Moody 376 is an evolution of the Moody 37 design, identical except for the addition of a bathing/boarding platform. Twin opening transom ports also give light and ventilation. Forecabin; 2 single berths, conversion into a double berth. Fore toilet compartment is to starboard, aft of the forecabin, WC, washbasin, shower, hot and cold pressurised water. The deck layout of the Moody 38 Eclipse is designed and styled so that the saloon area has excellent all-round visibility from both the interior helm station and the seating and dining areas. The Eclipse 38 has a headsail and inmast, furling systems and twin steering positions. The interior accommodation is laid out with two main sleeping cabins: the Owners stateroom forward and an aft guests cabin situated to starboard. Owners Heads compartment situated to port with a marine wc, hot & cold water system and separate shower. The main heads compartment to starboard is similarly equipped. The large, light and airy deck saloon has a raised seating area to port providing a U-shaped seating area. Galley to port.

Imast furling mainsail and furling genoa were standard on the Moody 38. Forward cabin: 2 single convert to a double, en-suite access to Forward shower/toilet: marine toilet and separate shower, hot and cold water. Saloon: U-shaped settee, second settee opposite, folding leaf dining table. Galley: hot and cold water, refrigerated ice box, cooker. navigation area: Chart table, chart table seat. Starboard passage cabin: passage berth with stowage under and lockers above. Master Suite: Large central double berth, opening portlights in transom and cabin sides, en-suite shower/toilet compartment with marine wc, shower.

The Moody 38 is an evolutionary development of Moody's design principles. She is, in every way, a fine introduction to the Moody definition of performance cruising.

The Moody 38 is certainly fast. Her centre cockpit performance hull, designed by Bill Dixon, has a long waterline to reduce resistance for fast passage times across the full range of conditions. She is stable and stiff under sail, thanks to the balanced water plane and flared hull sections aft.

She is also easily sailed by two people. All the principal sail controls are to hand in the cockpit – including single line reefing for the mainsail – and she is surprisingly light on the helm. Available with fin or shoal keel options, the Moody 38 is a vessel for every style of cruising.

Moody S38 was available in masthead or fractional rig. There were two different cabin layouts: One large owners aft cabin or twin aft cabins. Forward cabin has 2 single V berths with fill in piece to convert to double. Forward heads has marine toilet, hot and cold water. Saloon: U'shaped settee, second settee opposite. navigation area. Galley with hot and cold water, refrigerated ice box, cooker. Aft heads: on port side, aft of navigation station, marine toilet, separately plumbed shower. Owner's aft cabin (option 1): Access aft of navigation station on the port side. Double berth. En-suite access to aft shower/toilet. Twin aft cabins (option 2): access to port owners cabin aft of navigation station on port side, large double berth, lockers, en-suite access to aft shower and toilet. Access to second aft cabin aft of galley on starboard side, large double berth, lockers. Escape hatch to cockpit. Knock through access panel between each aft cabin to allow access to escape hatch from either cabin.

The Moody 39 is a direct development of the very successful Moody 33. A light displacement boat with a very large beam to allow for stability and maximum accommodation. A roomy saloon is situated forward of the centre cockpit and houses a 'U' shaped settee which is convertible to a double berth, opposite is the chart table and galley and access to after cabin. The aft or owner's cabin is accessible via a passage below decks from the saloon. It contains one large double berth, dressing table, wardrobe, stowage lockers, wc, and shower compartment. Passage way from saloon to aft cabin contains locker and wardrobe space plus access to the engine compartment. There is a guest cabin forward of the saloon to port, it features two berths one over the other, and a sliding door to the passage. Opposite there is a spacious wc/shower. The fo'c's'le cabin two berths convertible to double.

The Moody 40 was based on the Moody 39 and had a larger aft cabin and different cockpit layout. The fo'c's'le has 2 separate berths convertible to a double. The forward heads has marine wc, hot and cold water, shower. Forward guest cabin: Situated on port side opposite to wc/shower compartment. Two single berths, one above the other. Dressing table, locker and hanging space. Saloon: U-shaped dinette to port with large lockers, starboard side forward there is a sizeable fixed chart table. Galley: aft of this is a spacious, well laid out galley area, hot and cold water supply, cooker, refrigerator. Owner's stateroom: Double berth, dressing table, wc including shower, and washbasin in separate compartment.

The Moody 40 had inmast furling mainsail and furling genoa as standard. On the Mark II version of the Moody 40 the internal layout was altered so as there is access to the Aft cabin from the port Passage cabin and the starboard Passageway and Aft heads are combined. Forward cabin has two large single berths converting to a double hanging locker. En-suite forward heads compartment, pressurised hot and cold water, a marine toilet, a shower and an opening hatch. Saloon has a U-shaped settee to port, a second settee opposite to starboard, a large folding leaf dining table, fixed portlights mounted in hull topsides outboard of settees. navigation area has a navigation desk, electronics and electrical distribution panel, chart table seat, and a wet hanging locker aft of chart table seat. Galley has a centreline galley unit with twin stainless steel sinks and hot and cold pressurised water. There is a second galley unit outboard with large refrigerated icebox and cooker. Passage cabin (Mark I): is situated to port aft of the navigation area. Twin single bunks. Hanging & storage space. Aft heads (Mark I): access from passage aft of galley plus en-suit access to aft cabin. Separate shower stall, marine toilet, wash basin with hot and cold water. Aft cabin (Mark I): Large central double berth. Lockers. vanity desk on the forward bulkhead. Passage cabin (Mark II): is situated to port with access from the navigation area. One mid level single berth. There is a drop in panel to shorten the berth and create an extra hanging locker for aft cabin, making the passage cabin into a dressing room for aft cabin. Aft heads (Mark II): are accessed from the aft cabin or aft of the galley. Separate shower stall, marine toilet, wash basin with hot and cold water. Aft cabin (Mark II): Large central double berth. Lockers. vanity desk on the forward bulkhead. The port passage cabin can be incorporated as a dressing room.

The Moody 41’s aim was to produce a genuine cruising yacht which would be elegant, sail exceptionally well, be suitable for serious long distance passage making, offer comfortable and luxurious accommodation, and be able to be handled by a family crew. Forecabin: 2 single berths in a 'V' formation convert to a double. Forward heads: situated to starboard is a marine wc, shower with hot and cold pressurised water system. Forward guest cabin: is to port opposite the toilet. Two single berths are fitted against the ship's sides with a hanging locker and hanging dressing table. Saloon: Two 'L' shaped, contoured settee berths are fitted to port and starboard which centrally fixed table. Galley: aft of the saloon on the port side and is separated from the saloon by a semi bulkhead. The 'U' shaped arrangement. Cooker. Fridge. Hot and cold water system. navigator's area: is opposite the galley on the starboard side immediately adjacent to the companionway, chart table and fixed navigator's seat. Owner's stateroom: is reached from the Saloon through a passageway to starboard. Double berth. Corner seat. Dressing table. Owner's private toilet compartment.

The Moody 419 is a direct development of the Moody 41. Forecabin: 2 single berths converts to a double. Forward heads: situated to starboard with a marine wc, washbasin and shower with hot and cold water. Forward guest cabin: is to port opposite the toilet. Two single berths are fitted against the ship's sides with a hanging locker and hanging dressing table. Saloon: Two 'L' shaped contoured settee berths are fitted to port and starboard. The Moody 42 is based on the Moody 40. The transom has been lengthen thus giving larger lazarettes lockers and has increased the space on the Aft cabin. She has an inmast furling mainsail and furling genoa as standard. The Forward cabin has two large single berths converting to a double hanging locker, En-suite forward heads compartment, pressurised hot and cold water, a marine toilet, a shower and an opening hatch. The Saloon has a U-shaped settee to port, a second settee opposite to starboard, a large folding leaf dining table, fixed portlights mounted in hull topsides outboard of settees. Navigation area has a navigation desk, electronics and electrical distribution panel, chart table seat, and a wet hanging locker aft of chart table seat. The Galley has a centreline galley unit with twin stainless steel sinks and hot and cold pressurised water. There is a second galley unit outboard with large refrigerated icebox and cooker. Passage cabin is situated to port with access from the navigation area with one mid level single berth. There is a drop in panel to shorten the berth and create an extra hanging locker for the aft cabin, making the passage cabin into a dressing room for aft cabin. Aft heads are accessed from the aft cabin or aft of the galley and contain a separate shower stall, marine toilet, wash basin with hot and cold water. The Aft cabin incorporates a large central double berth, Lockers and a vanity desk on the forward bulkhead. The port passage cabin can be incorporated as a dressing room.

The Forecabin of the Moody 442 has 2 single berths in a 'V' formation; an infill piece to convert these berths to a double. Hanging locker, with a dressing table. Door to the forward toilet gives the cabin an en-suite facility. Forward toilet: situated to starboard this compartment is fully fitted out with a marine wc, washbasin and shower, hot and cold water. Doors give access to forward cabin and forward end of the main saloon. Saloon: 'U' shaped settee is to starboard with a single settee/berth opposite to port. Drop leaf dining table. Galley: 'U' shaped galley is to port, aft of the saloon. Hot and cold water. Fridge. navigation area: situated opposite the galley. Chart table. Aft passageway: Twin fore and aft single berths which can be closed off to form a separate cabin. Aft cabin: centreline fore and aft double berth. A settee is fitted to starboard and a hanging locker and dresser to port. A completely self contained toilet compartment is provided en suite to this cabin, equipped with marine wc, and shower with hot and cold water.

The Moody 425 is a direct development of the Moody 422. The main differences are the en-suite heads to the Aft cabin, which can also be accessed, from the Galley thus giving two accesses to the Aft cabin. Inmast furling mainsail and furling headsail where standard. The transom was lengthened and incorporated two lockers in the transom. Forecabin: 2 single berths. Forward heads: situated to starboard this compartment is fully fitted out with a marine wc, washbasin and shower, hot and cold water. Doors give access to forward cabin and forward end of the main saloon. Galley: to port, aft of the saloon and is practically sited adjacent to the main companionway. Hot and cold water with refrigerated ice box. Two burner stove with oven and grill. Access to owners suite. navigation area. Aft passageway: Twin fore and aft single berths which can be closed off to form a separate cabin. Aft cabin: centreline fore and aft double berth. A settee is fitted to starboard and a hanging locker and dresser to port. An en-suite toilet and shower area, marine wc, shower.

With fully furling sail plan the Moody Eclipse 43 has twin steering positions and high cruising speeds under power and sail. Owner's Stateroom forward: Spacious stateroom with centreline fore and aft double berth, large hanging locker, opening deck hatch and top-sides opening portlights. En-suite separate toilet and shower compartment, opening deck hatch. Port guest cabin: two single berths arranged fore and aft, a hanging locker, opening ports, from this cabin there is en-suite access to the main toilet compartment. Main Heads compartment: marine toilet and shower, a handbasin with hot and cold pressurised water. Galley: U-shaped galley is sited to starboard, forward of the deck saloon, stove, a large refrigerator and a microwave wired to the shore support system. Hot and cold pressurised water system. Deck saloon: To port is the elevated dining and settee area and to starboard is the interior helm station with bench seat for two people. The helm station is fully fitted out with stainless steel steering wheel, engine and gear controls. Built into the steering console is a chart table. Aft of the helm seat is a sideboard unit incorporating a cocktail cabinet and built-in front opening refrigerator. Aft cabin: twin fore and aft full length single berths which infill to a double, locker, handbasin with hot and cold water, opening ports.

The Moody 44 was available in three different layouts. The roller reefing genoa and in-mast furling/reefing main were standard.Forward cabin: 2 single 'V' berths with infill to convert to a double, hanging locker. Opening deck hatch, en suite access to forward shower/toilet. Starboard Guest Cabin: Twin bunk berths. Hanging locker. Opening deck hatch. Twin stateroom version: in place of the Starboard Guest Cabin, this area can be incorporated into the Forward Cabin to create a large stateroom with double berth, settee and large hanging locker. Forward heads: wash-basin, marine toilet and separate shower, hot and cold pressurised water, doors from fore cabin and saloon. Saloon: 'C' shaped curved settee with folding leaf dining table, lockers and shelves, 2 built-in easy chairs with contoured arm and backrest cushions, opening deck hatch. (On the later versions of the Moody 44 the Saloon layout was altered to a large 'U' shaped settee to port with second settee opposite, large folding-leaf dining table with integral drinks storage and drawers, lockers and shelves, opening deck hatch). Galley: Twin stainless steel sinks, hot and cold pressurised water, large refrigerated ice box, insulated food store, cooker, worktops both sides, generous stowage lockers for food, crockery and pans, drawers for cutlery. navigation area: teak chart table, electrical distribution board with circuit breakers, chart table seat. Port passage cabin: twin berths, hanging locker, opening portlight. Aft stateroom: large central double berth, opening portlights in hull and cabin side, angled aft facing window, opening deck hatch, settee, hanging locker, stowage locker, dressing table with mirror, en suite shower/toilet compartment with marine wc, wash-basin, shower, opening portlight. Dressing room option: in place of the Port Passage Cabin, this area can be incorporated into the Aft Stateroom to create a larger stateroom with separate dressing area, additional hanging lockers, shelves and drawers.

The Moody 47 owes its impressive passage times to its latest generation hull which, with its extended waterline, cuts efficiently through the water. She can be sailed easily by two people. All the controls are placed within the long cockpit where spray protection id provided by the stainless steel framed windscreen, or the option of a GRP doghouse with stainless steel edged windows and complete cockpit tent.

In-mast furling is standard; a cutter rig and self tacking stay sail as an option for greater flexibility. Teak is used for the decks and the cap rail on the raised bulwarks.

Stiff, immensely strong, yet light enough to maintain optimum performance across the full range of ocean cruising conditions, the Moody 54 has been designed without compromise. The balance and power of her underwater sections and lead keel give superb sail carrying and stability for swift passage times.

This sparkling performance is complemented by her ease of handling by two people. Standard equipment includes furling for all sails, electrically powered primary winches and a 10hp bow thrusters. Her powerful sail plan, on Seldens triple spreader rig, includes a cutter rig with self-tacking stay sail.

The Moody 54’s raised saloon is a delight. Spacious, warm and inviting, natural light floods in through its side and forward facing windows. There are up to seven comfortable berths, with three luxuriously proportioned private cabins. The large owner’s stateroom includes full en suite facilities, a separate shower stall and generous wardrobe space.

The large galley is equipped with the catering and refrigeration facilities necessary for long periods at sea. There is also a large and highly functional chart area. Elegantly appointed throughout, the fittings are available in a choice of lacquered wood finishes and fine furnishing fabrics.

The Moody 64 is a remarkably powerful boat, fully capable of fast passage times across the full range of conditions. Her stunning performance derives from the Bill Dixon's latest generation hull shape balances the power of the underwater sections and lead keel with the tall, high aspect ratio, hydraulically powered fully furling cutter rig with self-tacking stay sail.

Despite her size, the Moody 64 is easily handled by two people. Sail controls and deck handling systems are powered and controlled from the cockpit with its twin steering wheels, padded helm seats and integrated instrument and engine consoles. The high level of specification also includes a 15hp bow thruster, chart plotter and generator.

The Moody 64's raised saloon is breathtaking. It fully exploits the entire width of Bill Dixon's generous hull shape and, with its large side and forward-facing windows, has high levels of natural light and superb visibility. A flat screen TV, VCR and hi-fi are fitted as standard.

The rest of the accommodation is equally magnificent. The massive owner's stateroom has full en-suite facilities and a flat screen TV. It is accessed through a study area, aft of the large and practical chart station, complete with fold-away sea berth. There are two guest cabins forwards, with two toilet and shower compartments, plus a separate skipper's cabin complete with its own facilities. The large galley has everything required for even ambitious catering, including a refrigerator and deep-freeze as standard.

The Moody 36 Halberdier is a 36 foot motor sailer. It is the first all glass fibre yacht built by Moodys. The Halberdier brings with her all the highest standards of construction, joinery, finish and equipment that is associated with the phrase 'Moody built'. The design itself is by Alan F Hill and the choice of motor-sailer reflects the demand for a quality yacht of good performance under both power and sail with the maximum of roomy accommodation. These aims have been achieved - and please note that the dictionary defines a Halberdier as a dual purpose weapon - a combined spear and battleaxe. The first-class moulding is by Marine Construction Ltd. Following is a list of equipment which came with the 'Halberdier': 2 toilets, refrigerator, hot water, pressure system, self draining cockpit, moulded to Lloyds, iron keel, deck superstructure of sandwich construction.

The 36' sloop rigged Moody 36 Cavalier is based on the well-known Halberdier hull with re-designed deck assembly and accommodation to suit the many people who prefer an open steering position. Producing this aft cockpit version has incorporated this. A deck house of approximately 8' x 8' has been incorporated, with the galley on the starboard side of the deck saloon, and an 'L' shaped settee on the port side. The large central cabin is divided, with a single berth on the starboard side, a double berth on the port side, and includes a small dressing table and wardrobe forward of this. The standard Halberdier layout is used with the shower, toilet and basin on the port side, wardrobe on the starboard, and two full-length berths in the foc'sle. Fibreglass mouldings give the necessary relief to the white surrounds, and the mahogany furniture units have all been specially designed. She was specifically designed for yachtsmen who prefer coastline cruising to deep sea.

The Moody 379 has been conceived as primarily a yacht, which will be a pleasure to own and sail. A yacht equally at home cruising with the family or racing with your friends. The object of the Moody Lancer 42 was to produce a motor cruiser of reasonable dimensions and cost, having a seaworthy hull, combined with good cruising performance, comfortable accommodation for 5 to 7 and uncluttered deck space. Accommodation: Fore cabin and passageway: Arranged with berths to port and starboard, with shelves above and locker under. A wardrobe and cupboard to starboard. Fore toilet: Toilet, shower unit, wash basin complete with hot and cold taps. Saloon and galley: Arranged with wardrobe 'L' shaped settee, cupboards, shelf and table to port, with galley and cocktail cabinet to starboard. Settee converts by use of the seat back to an emergency double berth. Galley is complete with stainless sink and a gas cooker, refrigerator, positioned below the chart table. Wheelhouse: Wheel and control panel is to port, opposite is the chart table with fridge under. To port aft is a double raised seat with stowage for warps and fenders under. Helmsman's seat. After toilet (as fore toilet) except entrance through sliding door. Single cabin: Berth outboard with lockers under, wardrobe forward, cupboard forward. Entered through sliding door. A second berth could be arranged above the present one. Owner's cabin: Single berths to port and starboard, large wardrobe to starboard. Dressing table aft with drawers under.

There were two versions of the Moody 42 Aft Cockpit. The difference between the Mark I & II is that on the later version the companion way entrance was increased and the coachroof between this and the aft cockpit was lowered. Aft layout was reversed. Also an inside steering position was offered on the MKII.Fo'c's'le: There were Two berths, one to port and one starboard, double conversion was available, hanging locker and dressing table, skylight hatch. Forward Guest Cabin: To port complete with upper and lower berths, dressing table, drawers and hanging locker, skylight hatch. Forward toilet fitted with shower, toilet, wash handbasin and vanity unit. Chart area provided with chart table, drawers, stowage lockers and open plan to deck saloon and galley. Galley on port side of ship opposite chart table provided with cooker, sink with hot and cold taps, 24 volt refrigerator, drawers and locker. Deck saloon: U-shaped settee to port, high-low table, two place settee to starboard, companionway to main deck, and oilskin locker to aft end, access to engine room, fuel and water tanks provided for under open plan deck house floor. Mark I: Aft cabin (owners) double berth to port, dressing table and drawers aft, settee to starboard and hanging locker to starboard. Owner's toilet compartment to starboard: complete with shower, toilet, wash handbasin, hot and cold taps. Mark II: Aft cabin (owners) double berth to starboard, dressing table and drawers aft, settee to port and hanging locker to port. Owner's toilet compartments to port.

The Moody 42 Centre cockpit was based on the same hull as the Moody 42 Aft cockpit. Main Saloon: 'U' shaped settee to port, high-low table and companionway to cockpit at aft end of saloon. Centre dividing locker just to starboard of steps forming lockers and extra worktop area to galley. Settee to starboard at ships side. Fuel and water tank provided for under saloon floor. Galley: At starboard side of ship in passageway forming the aft most corner of saloon, abreast of engine compartment. Cooker, sink with hot and cold water, 24v refrigerator, adjacent to galley a large hanging locker is fitted. Aft Cabin (Owner's): Fitted with two single fore and aft berths. To form double berth, an infill cushion was optional. Dressing table, drawers, locker and stool fitted to starboard, also wardrobe to starboard.

The [b]Moody 44[/b has teak laid decks, a large centre cockpit and wheel steering. The racing version is available only as a sloop. Forward cabin: Two berths. Forward toilet: Shower unit, basin and a WC. Saloon: 'U' shape settee to port with stowage lockers above, a straight settee to starboard at sitting height and a pilot berth neatly arranged at higher level. navigation compartment to port: Chart table looking forward incorporating chart stowage drawer and a full-length berth is incorporated. Forward end of the berth forms the navigators seat. Galley to starboard: 'U' shape work top, cooker, stainless steel sink is on the forward return end of galley. Passageway on starboard side: Full length wardrobe immediately aft of the galley and a single berth is borrowed through into the aft cabin open to the passage only. Aft cabin contains two berths and an abundance of stowage space and also has its own toilet compartment.

The Moody Grenadier 134 had hull and deck mouldings in GRP, decks in GRP, sandwich construction with a complete teak laid deck as standard. Fo'c's'le: wardrobes and locker, infill section to fit between two forward berths converting into a double. Double cabin to starboard: Higher and lower berths, wardrobe and dressing table with drawers under. Cabin door opening into passageway. Forward passageway. Forward toilet: Fitted with shower, wash basin, and marine toilet. Main Saloon: A spacious main saloon the full width of the ship, incorporating two L-shaped settees with a portable infill cushion forming seating around the two sides and forward end of cabin. Two fixed tables as standard in front of each settee with fold over leaf connecting the two tables to form maximum dining area. The floor is at such a level that you can see out of the coaming windows when stood up and out of the port lights when sat down. The chart table is located to port aft of the settee looking forward. The main companionway steps are amidships clear of the forward end of engine casing, which forms an extra work top area, entrance to the engine room through the full height door to port on aft saloon bulkhead. Galley and passageway: Galley situated to starboard of engine in main passageway to aft cabin, refrigerator, two sinks, gas cooker, a small oilskin locker in passageway amidships aft of engine. Engine room: Situated beneath cockpit floor, main entrance being from main saloon on the port side of engine. Sufficient space to take to auxiliary generator, and to service main engine. Main owner's cabin aft: Large double bed on port side. A low L-shaped settee to starboard running around aft end of cabin, large wardrobes forward to starboard and dressing table amidships with drawers. Owner's toilet compartment: shower, wash basin, and marine toilet.

The Moody Carbineer 44 was lengthened to the Moody Carbineer 46. This enabled the aft cockpit to be bought back further thus giving more headroom in the aft cabin. Fo'c's'le: Arranged with either one bunk to port with stowage locker to starboard or bunks to port and starboard. Fore Cabin: Bunks port and starboard. Dressing table shelf under. Large wardrobe on aft bulkhead to port. Fore passageway: Steps to saloon. Wardrobe and oilskin locker to starboard. Fore toilet: To starboard, with wash basin, shower tray, toilet, locker at ships side. Galley: To port, twin stainless steel sinks, cooker and refrigerator, stowage cupboard on the forward bulkhead. Saloon and wheelhouse: 'L' shaped settee to port aft of saloon with teak adjustable table. To starboard, lockers and seat. Forward to port, steering position, chart table arrangement forward of steering, forward window. To starboard aft, main control switch and fuse board in locker.
